Psalmist Robin Easterwood Whitner

Sis. Robin Easterwood Whitner

To His name, Father God I first give honor, as He is the Source of my existence. The last time we congregated I was Robin Easterwood, but today I am Robin Whitner as God saw fit to send me my person, my love, my husband Bobby Whitner. To God be the Glory. My Husband and I currently reside in Easley South Carolina. I serve as the Director of Pre-Service and a member of the worship team at my church Set Free in Powdersville, South Carolina.

I am number six of seven children, the only girl of my parents Robert and Ruth Easterwood. My father whom I love so dearly, is now whole in the presence of the Lord. My upbringing shaped my spirituality, faith and relationship with God as my parents set the standard in our lives. Now more than ever I can say with 100 percent conviction that there is and always has been a calling from God on my life to praise and worship. I do not take the gift and blessing placed upon me lightly, as it has carried me through some rough times.

I am grateful that God saw fit to use me, an imperfect person like me as a vessel to draw his sheep nearer. I stand on my favorite scripture, Proverbs 3, 5 and 6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and He shall direct your path. I keep this passage close because it is so easy to say that you trust God, until you have to trust him. It reminds me to be still and steadfast in His word, as it has always brought me through.
